ABSTRAKT — An Immersive Art Experience by Wildstyle
On 25 January 2025, Wildstyle invited Uppsala to an extraordinary night where art, music and performance came together to celebrate the raw energy and creative force of street art. In collaboration with Abstract Graffiti Magazine, launching its first issue of 2025, the event created an unforgettable experience at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress (UKK) from 21:00 to 03:00.
ABSTRAKT centred on an exhibition of three prominent artists within abstract street art, with a vernissage the same day at Wildstyle Gallery, 12:00–19:00. One of the artists, Ollio, also took a turn behind the decks. Swedish underground producer DJ Andy, known for his soundtracks to iconic street art films, and DJ IRK also played through the night, in a setting inspired by Boiler Room.
Highlights of the evening included a performance piece where dancers interacted with a purpose-built video installation, merging the dynamics of street art with a hypnotic stage expression.
The evening also marked the launch of Abstract Graffiti Magazine's first 2025 issue, celebrating the cultural significance of street art and documenting the abstract graffiti genre.
